From spicy mustards to robust cheeses, sweet jams and rich chocolates, no kitchen is complete without a few French delicacies. To help keep hungry and discerning New Yorkers well stocked through winter, the French Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries is partnering with Food Emporium and its "Taste of the World" program to launch the first-ever "Taste of France" promotion featuring premium gourmet products and a consumer sweepstakes. The promotion, which runs from February 26th – March 11th, will offer over 25 authentic French food and beverage delicacies in 16 locations throughout Manhattan. Created in 2008, the "Taste of the World" program was developed by Food Emporium to help promote specialty foods and beverages from around the world. The "Taste of France" promotion will support the French products already on shelves and introduce a range of new selections through in-store activities, advertising/POS and events, which include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tasting on February 19th at the Food Emporium's flagship BridgeMarket store. The "Taste of France" promotion boasts a variety of delectable treats, including craft beers from the Northwest of France and Corsica, mustards from Dijon, fruit juices and honey from Burgundy, goat cheeses and Roquefort from the South, olive oils from Nice, chocolates from the Rhône and sparkling lemonades from Moselle in the Northeast of France, to name a few.
